Baby On The Way

This weekend Isaac and I announced to our families and church body that we are expecting our first child in late July. As I'm sure you suspect, we're very excited, as are our families. We'll be going for our first prenatal appointment the Monday after Christmas to confirm that all is well. I'm feeling pretty good, a little bit of Morning/Afternoon/Evening Sickness... but nothing too bad, just a li'l queasy feeling that comes and goes. I'm glad to have it out in the open, its been hard keeping it from people these past few weeks!

Photography

I have had several paying photography gigs now. I'm getting more comfortable I think, behind the camera. I'm still highly critical of my work. But I'm slowly realizing that I may be pretty good at this. Isaac insists that I'm a natural and wonderful.... but he's so biased. But he lifts me up and helps me have confidence in myself and my abilities. Husbands are good for that. :-)

Home Again

My parents returned from their month long trek to Mexico. They had many adventures and alot or work and sightseeing. Their pix were amazing. I wish I could have been there. They went to the Aztek pyramids, islands off the pacific coast, flea markets, and the area where butterflies migrate to. They had a really neat experience and I'm so glad that it worked out and they are safe at home again!

Parent's Mexico City Adventure

My parents are still in Mexico. They went to see the ruins near Mexico City. They took a different route on the way back to the mission camp and ended up in the ghetto. They tried to ask some policia for directions and the cop threatened to take my dad to jail for some "violation" if they didn't pay him $600.00 American dollars. Eventually he ended up settling for about 30.00 and some change and directed them to the highway. A little bit scary to say the least! Please keep them in your prayers!

My Paren'ts Mexico Trip

My parents are a week into their trip. They are at a mission camp in the middle of Mexico. There were a couple small hiccups on the way down but nothing major and they are there safe and sound. They won't be back for another 3 weeks and I would like prayer for their continued safety and protection. I'm really excited for them and I wish I could be sharing this experience with them. But a month is too long for me to be away from my honey.

Back from Vacation

Isaac and I took a week off and did as little as possible. We went to the lake (for the first time by ourselves). It was so quiet and restful. We went out and emjoyed Amish country and visited with a few people. But mostly we relaxed and enjoyed spending some quiet time alone with eachother. It was wonderful... we were'nt ready to come back to work yet. But alas here we are back in the real world. Anyway... Christmas is just around the corner and I'm partially through my shopping. I had to wrap some presents already because I was afraid Isaac would go snooping around and find his gifts. he he

Lately

Not a whole lot to update on. I have had a couple more photo opprotunities. And a couple on the way. I'm nervous about my cousin's wedding. I asked if I could just hang around and take a few pix on my own. Now I'm the actual photographer. Thats alot of pressure... you only get married once. Anyway thats about all thats going on. I'll keep you posted in case anything exciting comes up.

Unforgetable Photography

I've sent out an email about my up and coming photography business ("Unforgetable Photography") to my church and friends and family. I really hope people are openminded and give me a chance. Photography studios are so expensive. I'd hate to see people spend all that money when I could take their pix for a fraction of the cost! I'm pretty good... other people think so too... I'm not being concieted. I'm hoping to do some pix for a couple of friends who are pregnant, and one who just had a baby. I'm so excited! I got some backdrops on ebay and hope to get an indoor studio area set up in my house. I've got business cards and I'm working on getting prices in a brochure set up. Ah! Wish me luck!

Lauren's Senior Pix

I took senior pix of my sister yesterday afternoon... they were awesome! We had so much fun! We played around w/ Photoshop and edited and did special effects. They are so cool! We're going to do some more tonight, w/ her horse, etc. I hope that eventually I can do this on the side for extra money - its fun and I'm kinda good at it! Here are a couple pix!

A Monday

Hi - I just had a nice weekend at the lake w/ some friends from cAAre-group. I wish I was still there. But luckily we get to go back for a long holiday weekend in a few days. Here is a pix of my sister Lauren and me on the lake! The weather was beautiful! We tubed and relaxed... it was nice.

Married Life

I love my husband tremendously. Before we developed our relationship this kind of love was foreign to me. I have never loved anyone so strongly, so purely. Even when he is the one who has hurt me (married people make mistakes, hurt happens) he is still the one that I want to comfort me. We take care of eachother, even when it means doing stuff we don't like to do. Love is a choice - not an emotion.

Goodbye Clown Around Party Rentals

My parents are selling their business! For the past 10years they have been doing pony rides and moonwalk rentals for birthday parties and company picnics, etc. I loved it growing up (most of the time). I'm so sad that my kids won't have cool parties now. :-( But the business has been rough on my parents and I know it'll be good for them to have some time off. Hannah and Kyle will not know what to do with themselves. We've had the business as long as they both can remember. Anyway.... it'll be interesting to see what happens now! God has plans in store we don't even know about yet, I'm sure!

This is my Pop (Jeff) and brother Kyle posing for a pony ride picture. They're good looking men aren't they? Maybe I'm a little bias, oh well.

This is LuluBelle, she is a sample of some of the moonwalks that they rent out. She is one of the cooler ones. They were so much fun! I'm gonna miss having easy access to all this cool stuff.

AA girls

cAAre-group was great on Friday. I really enjoy our group. Good fellowship, good conversations. I can't wait until we go to the lake together. It'll be good to relax together! The girls are awesome! Most of us have known eachother for years and years and that helps make it a really laid back group. In the pix is Brittany, Judi, Jess Beth, Lauren, me, Kristie and Karyn. I love those girls! he he

Kev and Me

Kevin is my bud from Vincennes University. He has helped me get this blog going. Aren't we cute on my graduation day? he he

My girls

Some of my bestest friends were my girls from Vincennes. We had some great times together and when we manage to get us all together we still have a blast! I love you guys! Here is a pix of Cindy, Jess, Colleen, Jules and I.

Another Day

My sister Hannah had surgery yesterday. It went well. It was a new experience for my family. We have never had anyone in my immediate family be in the hospital much, not at all for surgery. Here is a pix of my sis Hannah and I.

week 2

My friend Jess' car is being stupid. Its broken down on her twice in four days! Yuck! I wish cars didn't have problems. But then all the mechanics would be out of jobs... dang. Oh, well... random thoughts from Wani.
On a lighter note... my husband and I are going to the lake this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. In a few weeks we are taking our Care Group there, and in September the youth group is going. We like to share my inlaws' lakehouse as much as they will let us! Its so nice there. One of these days we'll get some pix up here.
I went to a baby shower the other day. It was so cute! And there were like four babies there... it just feeds my need to have a baby of my own. I can't wait! Ah! But God will let me know when its my turn, I'm sure. I just wish I knew when that was gonna be!

Day two

I'm trying to figure out how to get pix onto my blog. I'm having problems. I'm not sure if its me or what. Oh, well... I'll keep on trying. Also - I want to say congrats to Kevin - he just got his first real job since college! Yay, Kev!
