Nate and I had a good week (mostly). We did some preschool related things almost every day. Including worksheets helping him to learn to write the number 1 and letter A. We also played Memory and Go Fish almost daily. I tried to be more deliberate in creating teachable moments. And to be patient with Nate as he has entered into the "why" phase. Sigh... I'm so tired of hearing that word. But I have been doing my best to answer instead of telling him "because I said so" all the time!!

I did an activity with Corinne the other day and I thought of you. I made 6 circles on a sheet of construction paper and I told her it was her "cookie sheet". Then I told her how many chocolate chips to put on each one. Then she could eat them. Snack and counting all in one! I hope you are just having so much fun with this. Don't get discouraged if he isn't interested. My oldest REFUSED to write his name or any other word. One day he came to me and said, "Momma, how do you spell 'Spiderman'?" It had to be on his terms. And when your 3, what other control do you have?
Lawana-
I just wanted to share a fun website with you. This is the one I used with Barrett when he was 3 and 4 years old:

We had a lot of fun with it.
