Ok, so I was loading my car full of groceries the other day and noticed something odd. In the parking space next to me I noticed a nice looking SUV - I was a little envious of the vehicle but that doesn't really apply to the story.
There was a couple loading their purchases into the back of the SUV. The weird/funny thing was all over the bottom of the trunk area was a bunch of those mesh eco-friendly grocery bags.... but the food, etc that they were loading into the car was bagged in atypical plastic supermarket bags.
Uuummm... anyone else find that weird?!? I mean, I realize not everyone has gone "green" but if you are going to do it, then do it! And besides the green aspect of it, if I had already bought those bags - which are far more reliable and user friendly, no tearing holes and double bagging, etc - I'd be using them! Am I right?

Maybe they ran out of plastic bags and needed some more (you know how everyone has a stash of them somewhere in their kitchen). So, since they started using the green bags, their stash wasn't being renewed, they ran out, and needed more.
Or they forgot the green bags. That would be my guess.
That is weird!
I always forget mine at home. I think about them when I'm doing something else but when I'm actually ready to go? Not a chance. I usually remember about halfway to the store (a 25 minute drive) girrrr! But I always plan on using them, does that count?
:)
What would have been even weirder would be if they put the plastic ones inside of the green ones... Hmm...
I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go round!
